LMS Hosts Back-to-School Laundry Day

Last month, we hosted a free laundry day in partnership with The Urban Child Institute and Pinwheel Playrooms to cover $1,000 per location to provide patrons with free laundry services. We partnered with Fresh Suds, River City Laundromat, Raleigh Coin Op, and Ellies Laundry and were able to serve many families as they prepared for back to school.

Pinwheel Playrooms are located in several laundromats around Memphis and serve as a spot for children to strengthen their literacy skills while their families wait for their laundry. We appreciate UCI's support in expanding them to new locations. Be on the lookout for a Pinwheel Playroom in a laundromat near you!
