Homeruns for Literacy

Reading books + running bases = a perfect summer! We had an absolute ball at Home Runs for Literacy this year! Thanks to International Paper and the Memphis Redbirds for inviting us to the park and encouraging our young fans to read through summer break. Our Birds got the W in the scorebook and in our hearts.

Every summer, the power of partnership comes to life through Home Runs for Literacy, a collaboration with the Memphis Redbirds and International Paper that inspires students to keep reading while school is out. Students in Literacy Mid-South summer programs who read four books or other reading materials earn a memorable day at AutoZone Park.

Programs like this show what's possible when businesses and community organizations invest in literacy together. We invite other organizations to partner with us to create even more opportunities for children and families across the Mid-South.
