Hello! We're so excited you've come to read with us!
We will be posting four videos each week for an exciting and fun book. Our super teacher will take you to another world as you learn awesome new words and meet amazing characters.
On Friday, ask an adult to help you join our live literacy sessions. We'll play fun games and laugh together over video chat!
Check out this week's book:
Are you or your student using Literacy Mid-South resources this summer? Please take some take to fill out this weekly checklist to let us know!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- What if I missed a week or day? Is it okay if I don't watch them in order?
You can watch any of the videos whenever works best for you! It is best to watch them in daily order (day one, day two), but you can rewatch any past week when you join us. You can even watch more than one a day! The only thing you can't go back to is the IRA Live! Session that goes with the book of the week.
- Who are the super teachers?
Our super teachers are amazing educators currently teaching in elementary schools around the City of Memphis. They might even be your teacher! These super teachers have helped Literacy Mid-South for years. We are so excited to have them helping us this summer, too.
- What do I need to participate in the IRA Live! Sessions?
You do not need to download any software to join our IRA Live! Sessions on Fridays at 3:30. You should have watched all four videos for the week, though. Make sure to grab an adult & ask permission before signing on. If you have a microphone and webcam, make sure they are turned on and working. We'll all be on camera & talking, so be prepared to laugh & have a good time with other elementary students. All you'll need to do is click the link on Friday & you will be taken to a Google Meet video room. See you there!
