Welcome to our Tutor Resources Pages! You will find many helpful worksheets, activities, links, lesson plans, and benchmarks for tutoring adults who are at a 6th grade reading level or below. You don't have to be a Literacy Mid-South volunteer to use these great tools! If you like our resources or have additional questions, let us know!
Click one of the topic areas to the left to find your tutoring resources.
Don't forget that your community libraries have additional resources.
Can't meet with your learner in person? No problem! We've gathered resources you can introduce your learners to while you're together so they're ready to use them when you're not. Click here to download the guide.
Virtual Office Hours!
Thank you for your flexibility and your willingness to continue to “meet” with learners virtually. It is greatly appreciated in helping them navigate through this difficult and uncertain time.
Throughout all of this, we’ve missed getting the opportunity to see your faces and hear how you are doing. In order to fix this, we are now offering virtual office visits!
From the week of May 4th through the week of June 6th, we will be available via Zoom meetings on Tuesdays from 4:00 - 4:30PM and Thursdays from 12:00 - 12:30PM. Feel free to drop in and chat with us about what’s going on with your learner, get assistance with lesson plans or digital virtual learning, talk with other tutors, or just let us know how you’re doing (after being at home this long, it might be nice just to see a familiar face).
If you’d like to meet with us privately, we will gladly do so by appointment. Email Stacy (searly [at] literacymidsouth [dot] org) for ABE and Lee (lchase [at] literacymidsouth [dot] org) for ELL to set up a day and time.
