  • Volunteer in an innovative “charter school setting” which provides a smaller, more personalized school atmosphere with enthusiastic principals and teaching staff.
  • No need for an education degree! Take advantage of tutor training, educational materials and support provided by Literacy Mid-South and school staff.

Grades 5 through 8

Adult Literacy Tutor Training Dates:
August 6 & 7th (both sessions required) Friday Evening & Saturday 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Adult Literacy Tutor Training is held at 902 S. Cooper St., Memphis, TN


Academy Tutoring Project Training Dates:
Saturday, August 21st 9 am-12 noon
Thursday, September 9th 5:30-8:30pm
Saturday, September 18th 9am – noon
Tuesday, September 28th 5:30-8:30pm

Academy Tutoring Project Training is held at the Memphis City Schools Teaching and Learning Academy at 2485 Union Avenue (corner of Union and Hollywood)
